No Guilt Creamy Caesar Salad Dressing

I'm a salad dressing lover. I love ranch; I love Caesar; I love a good vinaigrette...I could go on and on.

BUT, conventional salad dressings that you buy at the store almost all have a base of inflammatory oils. They're usually the number one ingredient.

So dousing my salad with a half cup of dressing is NOT ideal when it comes to controlling my inflammation, which is one of my top health goals because, as you may already know, inflammation is the number one cause of chronic disease and illness. 

I don't want one of my favorite foods to be the cause of disease that I have to live with, so I've opted to search out healthier versions so that I can still enjoy my favorite condiment without any of the guilt or worry that it will be affecting my health negatively. 

I've come up with homemade versions of my favorites, including ranch and an amazing vinaigrette, but today we're focusing on Caesar dressing! 

Everyone in our family loves a good Caesar salad, sometimes with chicken, sometimes pure veggies! And we always top our greens with this creamy blend that will knock your socks off! 

No Guilt Creamy Caesar Salad Dressing

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

• 1 cup avocado oil mayonnaise 
• 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
• 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
• 1 tsp minced garlic or garlic powder 
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp pepper
• Milk (optional; to make desired consistency)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir well to mix. You can add a tiny bit of milk to make it your desired consistency. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least an hour to allow flavors to blend.

Toss with chopped romaine lettuce and/or other veggies of choice. 

This also makes a good marinade for chicken!
